Gaddafi’s Flight to Kano...?
Gaddafi is no runner, he will stay and fight till the last of his breathe, rumours have it that he has fled to Venezuela, not confirmed however, but I remember tonight, the enthusiasm and recklessness with which he has ruled for more than 40years.
In 1997, as a teenager in the ending moment of the dictatorship of Sanni Abacha as Nigerian head of state, Gaddafi made a supposed state visit to Nigeria, stopping in Kano for three days without visiting Abuja the official seat of the Nigerian government, I had loads of un-asked questions within me in those days... why did he stop in Kano, why did the head of state went to meet him up there and not in Abuja... this I regarded as indignation of my country, but there were suspicions on the ground of his relationship with the then condemned head of state. Further indignation from Gaddafi, was accompanied by more than 200 heavily armed Libyan bodyguards.
When security officers refused to allow them to keep their weapons, an argument ensued and Col Gaddafi stormed off. Only when Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo intervened did the bodyguards agree to hand in their weapons. By sheer coincidence, President Obasanjo was passing through the airport at the same time. He intervened in person and proposed that the weapons could be allowed through if they were registered first. But the Nigerians say that was rejected and the Libyan delegation threatened to fly home.
Incensed, the Nigerians said that was fine with them and told the delegation that instead of the original compromise, they could now only carry eight pistols if they wanted to enter Nigeria, like any other diplomatic security detail. They ordered that the rest of the weaponry had to be put back on the Libyan official jet. After a stand-off lasting several hours, the Libyans backed down and finally made their way to Nigeria's capital. Unlike the Abacha visit in Kano, Gaddafi flew into the Kano airport with three fighter jets, with many heavily combatants soldiers.
In March 2010, Gaddafi said Nigeria should be split into a Muslim and a Christian country to end communal clashes. That prompted a furious Nigeria to recall its ambassador to Tripoli. Nigeria's foreign ministry said Col Gaddafi's initial comments were "irresponsible", why The Nigerian Senate Leader called him Mad-Man- Gaddafi.

My Governor Needs 200 People for Second Term Rituals, I Volunteer To Be Number One... so help me God!
My Governor Needs 200 People for Second Term Rituals, I Volunteer To Be Number One... so help me God!
The power of myths as a tool of fear exists in many places around the world, there are many far-from-being-true believes that hold many people under very influential powers, so strong to the shaping of ideas and ideologies. The braves, only the bold ones who dare to break such a hold live short enough to know the realities that defined their fears, or live long enough to enjoy the harvest of their daring minds.
When the rumor of ‘200 People for 2cnd Term Rituals’ came through to the internet, I knew it might just be part of the political ploys that the political enemies of Alao Akala may be using to further discredit the personality of the executive governor of Oyo state, and I was to dismiss it straight forth, but when I thought of the socio-context and belief system of the people who are primarily concerned here, then it became a second avenue for my exploration; the first one being the ‘vulnerability and consent’ of the people to political repressions.
I am not saying here that Alao Akala is involved in any form of rituals or in any occult practices that uses diabolical spiritual influences on his people, neither am I saying that he is not, my position here is neither scientifically investigated nor spiritually recomended for the good people of Oyo state. However I intend to marry some fundamental political and spiritual thoughts together on this discourse.
If the Alao Akala ever had strong reasons to become politically spiritual, that means he has recognized that the political power ‘to become’ does not lie in the hands of the living human beings, but in the hands of the unseen forces like ghosts, dead people, angels, e.t.c and that his second term victory would have nothing to do with anybody living as human in the state…, then he may be on the right direction of actions to retain himself in Agodi come April 2011. Exploring this theory of exclusion, the people that matter in decision making are worthy of giving attentions to, and it may rather amount to wasting of time to be pleading for the support of people who have no say. Therefore it might become very necessary to make budget allocations for the spiritual constituencies… The spiritual politics may not restricted to Akala alone, has anybody wondered why Mr Goodluck Jonathan allegedly visited both Pastor Adeboye’s redemption camp and Synagogue of TB Joshua the same day, we are talking about some unseen forces that have taken the place of the ‘ordinary Nigerians’.
It may therefore be necessary to sacrifice just 200 people to appease these streams of unseen voters that may be deciding the coming elections. We should not be quick to forget the Okija saga, and the Gbenga Daniel’s alleged occult practices; all which are highly demanded by the unseen political cum spiritual forces… and these band of unseen spiritual bodies, very uncountable in their numbers, out numbering 150 million Nigerians may be well prepared to out-match us in the April elections. They must have gone on the INEC’s machines too, or where did INEC get the millions of persons that they would be claiming to have registered so far for the elections, and I believe that these unseen and perhaps evil forces are responsible for the appearances of dead people and incarnates of foreigners on the previously published voters register…
The unseen spiritual and blood sucking political daemons may be responsible for several political killings too, after all, in more than half of a decade, the killers of Bola Ige are still at large, and this might be an empirical expansion of the spiritual politics theory in Nigeria.
Let us wake up from these illusions and ‘shine our eyes’, evidences from international politics have suggested that Nigerians are not seriously ready for any political revolution yet! Many of us are not ready to pay any sacrifices, the international media domains sadly reported that about 300 people died in the 18 days of standoff between Mubarak and the spent people of Egypt, 18days struggle ended the 30years of servitude… Tunisian people in less than seven days of protest oust the 24years reign of Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali. Though Fela Anikulapo accused Nigerians of being inept towards fighting for political change, and of our capacity to be suffering and yet smiling….
My conclusion in this monologue is that it is not the 200 people for rituals that will impose any unwanted politician in power, it is rather our inactions and 'i dont care attitude', if governors will have to visit Okija before they win elections, or a president will have to seek the redemptive powers in sacred synagogues, then it is rather a confirmation that we have all been declared as ‘void’.
There will be prices for us to pay, but the prime price of the change we seek is to be dedicated to its course, "For the weapons of these evil politicians are not spiritual but mighty in demonstration of our ignorance, for pulling down weak oppositions, shouting down arguments and every witless thing that exalts itself against them’. I think we need to stop now, and re-think!
I can categorically say here that since the demise of the NADECO, there has been no organized political opposition in Nigeria, there is no vibrant group that is capable of running any serious battle of freedom, I may be very incorrect here, but I can say that until there is a well organized third force, there may be no political freedom in Nigeria. The current species of Nigerian politicians are not sworn supporters of true democracy, all what they are interested in is the power to steal!. This is well over one decade of democratic government in Nigeria, our human right rating is still very poor, there is no free and fair election, there are no serious revamping of the institutions, the police is still very corrupt, the judiciary is very corrupt, the media is not politically independent, and everything is still the same.
A few people, perhaps less than 200 in every ward are the corrupt ones, our problem is the politicians that share money among themselves and their cohorts without using the money for the development of the people, the roads are still in poor state, a few people who feed on the national cake and allow others to suffer hunger are the problems. The few ones who take 200 naira and still vote for the bad politicians are the problems that we have in Nigeria, plus the millions who will not dare to ask questions.
Their political campaigns are mere mockery of the whole process, what do they promise in their campaigns, do they offer any accountability to the state, do they give us any progress reports on their achievement in office, after all, they never really promised us anything in the first place. Until the people return to the heart of our democracy, then we will continue to be backward and there will be no development, until the people become active politically and respond to the activities of the self imposed political leaders, then we will continue under this repression. Until the people become the definition of Nigerian Democracy, we are going nowhere near freedom.
On fear, if we are not ready to die for freedom, then we are not ready to live in freedom!, I have upheld an hypothetical equation of human death accounting in Nigeria, the number of death recorded in road accidents in Nigeria a year is more than a number of death a political revolution might claim, the number of people that die on Lagos – Ibadan express way alone is more than 200 people that rumor claims Akala is seeking for a spiritual election, the number of people that die in the NURTW clashes across the nation is more than 300 that died in Egyptian revolution, the number of people’s life caught in political killings in political party bouts may be more than 300 in a year... why not dying on an organized and honorable death, than to die in the comfort of our pains.
Until Nigerians are ready to die for freedom from Nigerians, the much awaited freedom may not come in the next fifty years, and it would still follow the same prescribed order afterwards, so we should brace up today, fight today, and live tomorrow.
